Whether you want to spend more quality time with your kids and family, are stretched too thin with all the demands of daily life and work or are simply physically unable to clean, no reason is too small for hiring out your house cleaning duties.
I come from a very large family in which my siblings and I started doing chores at a fairly young age. Although none of us liked doing chores, I’m very thankful we had them as it taught us many skills as well as good work ethic.
Despite all of the kids helping out and being a stay at home mom, I’m sure my mom would have loved to have a professional full-house clean regularly. Being a mom is hard, busy work, even if you don’t have a full time job on top of that.
I know many working moms, and the ones who hire help for cleaning their homes almost seem guilty about it. If I were a working mom, you better believe that the house cleaning would be one of the first things I outsource. You only have so much time in your day, why spend it cleaning when you could spend it with your family? Especially if the only spare time you have is in the evenings when everyone is home from school and work.
When I was 16, I hired my little sister to clean my room for me. Not because I couldn’t do it, I just prefered to do other things. I fired her within the week because she wasn’t showing up or doing what was on the list. Looking back now I don’t blame her, as I was only paying her a couple dollars a week. However, my point is that you don’t even have to have a big reason to hire a house cleaner—perhaps you simply don’t want to do it.
Even though I love my job and really enjoy cleaning other people’s homes, I don’t enjoy cleaning my own space. Perhaps that’s just how it is for everyone. Maybe this house cleaner needs a house cleaner of her own!
Having a house cleaner is all about priorities. Imagine coming home to a clean home after a long day and not having a mountain of house work to do. Imagine the hours of free time each week you could put towards your family or productive endeavors.
Hiring a house cleaner is much more than having someone else do it—it is truly about having more time, more freedom and being there for the precious moments in life.
